5 Great Ways to Lose Weight

If you want to lose weight, and that stubborn belly fat, then you need to make some changes in your life right now.  Weight loss is not about a new year resolution, or a wish to ‘do this’ – it is about taking action, and using the right methods.

Whether you are using Burn The Fat Feed The Muscle, Strip That Fat or Warp Speed Fat Loss, you need to stick to it, and aim for long term results!  For sure, when it comes to fat loss, there are NO magic pills or a quick fix.  It takes effort, time and a willingness to make it happen everyday.

Below are 5 tips to always keep in mind -

1. Change the way you eat – that means cutting down on the take outs, fast foods, junk foods and restaurant foods. Instead, opt for more natural foods and cook the foods yourself.  Nothing beats a home cooked meal.  So set aside one day a week to plan your meals in advance, shop for the foods, and cook the whole lot in bulk!  That way, you will prevent yourself from eating the bad foods!

2. If you haven’t realised this before – Eating plenty of veggies and fruits are good for you.  Not only is it nutritionally beneficial, but the fiber boost you get will keep you fuller longer.  But if you hate veggies, especially when they are steamed or boiled, and would prefer to take just vitamin supplements to get your nutrients – forget it!  Scientists and experts agree that a vitamin could never replace good food – Fresh foods are simply nutritionally well packaged.  And if you still can’t get your head over the taste of vegetables, research shows that trying a certain food 10 to 20 times will get your taste-bud used to it.  So unless you have an allergy, it’s a matter of try, try and try again!  Steamed or plain veggies can be boring even to health fanatics, so boost the flavor with Asian, Italian or Indian herbs and spices.  You may never like all veggies, but if you can get the recommended five different types in to your diet each day, then you should get all the vitamins you need for your body.

3. Scale back on the sodas, alcohol, OJs and any other sugary drink.  Instead replace those drinks with water and Green Tea.  Both fluids are healthier, and best yet, calorie free.  So load up on at least 8 glasses of water everyday!

4. Get into high intensity interval training.  This requires aggressive effort.  Each exercise is performed to the point of failure.  You reach the minimum number of sets, sometimes only 1 set of each exercise but as many as 3 sets.  In addition,a short recovery period between exercises is essential.  This short recovery period enables you to maintain a fairly high heart rate for the duration of the workout.  This method improves your metabolic fitness because it places a substantial workload upon ever major muscle in your body and at the same time stresses your circulatory and respiratory path ways.

5. Make small changes everyday, and make it a lofelong habit.  To keep the weight off, you need to replace a majority of the old habits with the good ones.  So make it a point to include small changes like cutting down on one can of Pepsi, or going for a 30 minute walk after dinner.

There you have it, 5 simple steps you can do now and make a difference to your health.  Remember, the key to weight loss is time – so make the time for changes, and stay patient
